    Una via italiana per il Service Learning is a collection of the various Service  Learning experimentations promoted in Italy since 2012. In particular, you can find guidelines on the promotion. Designed for all persons potentially interested in learning more about Service Learning. It was a pilot project implemented in 3 italian regions but project is already closed. You can download a document where you can find an explanation on what service learning is, a brief reporting of the project results of „3 REGIONI“ project with data analysis.

  • INDIRE - Toolkit Service Learning

    A simple online toolkit on how to design service learning pathways. In a few pages summarised all phases and processes of design. For schools and teachers who want to implement teaching. Students can participate in SL courses. Here you will find materials to build a SL path together with students of all ages. There are 4 different steps: 1. motivation 2. diagnosis 3. conception and planning  4. Execution 5. Closure and evaluation. Each step has its own guidelines, easily reusable in a classroom workshop.

Designed for schools or teachers interested in introducing service learning in their classrooms. It a repository included in the website of the main actor referent for Service Learning in Italy.

  • TRAINEE project

    TRAINEE Training e-platform is an online interactive space for professionals aiming to be trained on Service Learning as a new, innovative and inclusive educative methodology. It provides information and resources to incorporate Service Learning to already existing education and employment programmes towards third sector entities professionalisation and youth employability. The e-platform also provides guidelines to deal with Global Citizenship issues and citizens' participation thanks to this learning approach. Make the difference and find the excellence in your programmes towards your learners and beneficiaries.

    The e-platform is designed for training or employment promoters staff (trainers, teachers, facilitators, labour guidance workers, etc.) and NGOs members (volunteer coordinators, staff, youth workers, board members, project coordinators, etc.) who want to carry out Service Learning projects or just get to know more about this training approach. It offers an e-platform aimed to promote interaction between young people and those who support their employability. The platform presents modules on the SDGs and how they can be included in development processes of societies, to improve the environment and the labour market.

    TRAINEE is a transnational initiative supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission (project is closed).

  • PROSPECT

    Website including all didactic materials and supports for implementing the PROSPECT model. The project intends to develop and test an education model addressed to all school level, starting from kindergarten to secondary junior school, focused on service learning, as crucial moment for passing from knowledge (know) to skill (know how to be) and competence (know how to do). This process will guarantee the training of a citizen able to act with critical thinking and to face the new challenge of the global society. the website will remain open for free even after the project end so to allow the cooperation among school key actors and the systematisation and promotion of project outputs and results.

    It offers a Moodle course in every language with different educational paths on environmental sustainability, immigration, gender equality and global citizenship.

  • Service Learning. Un Workbook per l'Hgher Education

    The workbook of closed Erasmus + project is a product of the European project 'ENGAGE STUDENTS Promoting Social Responsibility of Students by Embedding Service Learning into Education Curricula', a project co-funded by the European Union's ERASMUS+ programme. The project focuses on the social responsibility of higher education institutions at student and teacher level. The workbook is based on the practical experience of the project members from five partner universities in Europe (Dublin City University in Ireland, Porto University in Portugal, Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania, University of Vienna in Austria, University Politehnica Bucharest in Romania and Università Sapienza Roma in Italy), from the planning and implementation of such courses at university level.   • La mia scuola per la Pace

    The "Rete delle Scuole di pace" (Network of schools)

    A platform designed for teachers of all levels where you can find various materials on Service Learning: guidelines on the subject, programmes, paths, resources of different kinds divided into themes and available online free of charge. In particular, there are courses on civic education and education for global citizenship. It is not exactly part of a project, but is a network for the permanent promotion of the inclusion of civic education and human rights education within standard school curricula. Being a network it is therefore constantly being updated.The approach of this network is inspired by and based on Service Learning Approach.

    Comunitazione /Fondazione Con i Bambini

    On this (https://www.progettocomunitazione.it/mappa/) map you can discover the Citizenship Sites carried out by students: you can navigate by setting different criteria (municipality, area of engagement, type of school and year of implementation), read how the projects were carried out and access photographic documentation. You can also find out what was done in the ECCs (you can find them under the category "typology") and learn about all their evolutions, from in-presence to virtual places and vice versa. The fact sheets were written, freestyle, by Community Action educators who worked in the field in close contact with young people.

    Comunit-Azione involved 2,700 boys and girls aged 11 to 17 from secondary schools in 7 municipalities of Turin's first urban belt: Settimo Torinese, Collegno, Grugliasco, Rivoli, Moncalieri, Nichelino and La Loggia. Project actions were carried out in 21 institutions (84 classes) together with 320 teachers, 50 educators and trainers and a network of 50 partners.
